What They Do is definitely a nod to The Roots. They're my favorite hip hop group of all time, and that's why my verse has references to 2 different Roots songs.

I actually completely rewrote my verse, because I recorded the original version and thought it was incredibly pointless. This version still lacks something in my opinion, but it's much better than take 1.
