I wrote this song for my friend Pepe Gonzalez. He is locally famous as one of the best runners to compete in SLO County. Pepe runs marathons as well as shorter races.

Pepe dealt with an injury which caused him to have to take a break from running. Resurface is about him coming back from that rough patch and going for his dreams.

One of my favorite things about Pepe is his dedication and determination. He's always trying to motivate the people around him, including me! That's why I wanted to return the favor with this song.
