Lies is the only song on this album that wasn't written in the same time frame as the rest. I wrote it about a year before the Blanco era, but I never recorded it for some reason.
That's also why Lies is the only song that isn't specific to me and my life. Every other song on the album represents something specific to me, especially in the 2 years prior to the album's release.
lyrics
[Verse 1]
My mind expands infinite, enter my mental
It absorbs knowledge and grows exponential
The world is so cold, it don't know its potential
See, my depression is so existential
The human race is losing traits, that one time defined us
Jews replaced truth with fake, used it to blind us
They did it all in unison, I'm actually impressed
Communities ruined, empathically suppressed
Quick to dispel the things we love the most
Watch how quickly we cut each other's throats
Competitively collecting reasons to boast
Stepping on your friends, I don't need you, I'm ghost
Ironic when we separate, we cause more friction
Fill our heads with lies and we call it cognition
If knowledge is all relative, then we are all distant
The meaning of this life, I think that we all have missed it
[Chorus]
Lies we tell each other and the lies that we believe
Whether off the dome piece or if it's preconceived
Trying to stunt our growth when the truth is what we need
So I'mma take this dead horse and beat it 'til it bleed
Lies we tell each other and the lies that we believe
Whether off the dome piece or if it's preconceived
Trying to stunt our growth when the truth is what we need
So I'mma take this dead horse and beat it, yo!
[Verse 2]
Incredible the feeling is when you can attain
Duality cause you're one in the same
Bridge hemispheres and traversing your brain
Building a bond until it has sustained
The fabric that is woven on the neural path you've chosen
Reveal your true intentions, where you've been and where you going
With no direction you might just walk this whole earth
Close your eyes, feel the vibes, and let your soul search
Progression has no finish line, no ribbon or a banner
But you gotta keep it moving in a consistent manner
The second that you letting up, you start to plateau
Gotta give it all you got in your heart, don't lack soul
So keep it chugging, there ain't nothing that you feel inside
A little something, we call loving, that you feel inside
Replace it with the doubt they tout, that make you fear and hide
Accomplish what is in your heart and watch it fill with pride
